Little Rivers is about mapping occasional occurrences. Small waterways appear in a parking lot after a rain storm. These diminutive geographical features are mapped 1:1 in chalk directly onto the territory. Within hours the rivers have dried and within days the maps themselves have vanished. These fleeting accounts highlight the beauty and flux of the world around us.
Little Rivers is part of the Night Gardener Project, a clandestine gardening operation who’s designs are created to increase awareness of one’s immediate surroundings and to foster contemplation of the dynamics within these situations.
